I'd rather do the Slightly Soiled 20.....



I am glad yesterday was a rest day because this workout was nasty in every way. It's called the "Filthy Fifty". If you had told me a year ago that I would be doing the "Filthy Fifty" I would have told you I wasn't into cougars. After this WOD, I think I'd rather take my chances with the old ladies.....





50 Box Jumps
50 Jumping Pullups
50 Kettlebell Swings [35#]
50 Walking Lunges
50 Knees to Elbows
50 Push Press [45#]
50 Back Extensions
50 Wall Ball Shots
50 Burpees
50 Double Unders

Basically it's everything but olympic lifting and the kitchen sink. We did this back in November and it took me a little over 32 minutes. Now my friend Marty aka "The Boot" says this workout doesn't really start until the Back Extensions but I disagree. I felt pretty winded by the time I finished Knees to Elbows. There is no real heavy weight in this but the constant movement just wears you down. Basically here is how it broke down for me....

Box Jumps - I feel pretty good overall but I'm surprised at how slow I feel. Just have to grind these out and I'll make up time elsewhere.
Jumping Pullups - And I thought kipping pull-ups made me look like a douche. I fly thru these...
Kettlebell Swings - 35# bell is easy compared to what I usually use. Starting to breath heavy though...
Walking Lunges - Sweet 8lb 6oz baby Jesus my legs are already tired. Must have been that Box Jump & Douchie pull-up combo that did them in...
Knees to Elbow - These feel like cheating after 12.3 and I am ok with that. First 25 feel great. Second 25 suck like a crack whore trying to get a fix....
Push Press - I know its just the bar but these still suck. Probably cause I can't breath at this point. Breathing isn't important is it?....
Back Extensions - I'm moving slow here. Must. Catch. Breath. I haven't bent over this much since I was an alterboy....
Wall Balls - 5 shots in and I need to check to see if I have the right ball. I think someone snuck a 40# ball in on me. Gotta do 5 and take short breaks and by short breaks I mean get a lawn chair and a beer....
Burpees - I wonder if Regina is impressed with the awesome sets of 1 & 2 I am knocking out here. Everytime I go to the deck I wish I had a pillow....
Double Unders - I am stringing together 2-3 at a time and at this point that feels heroic....

Time - 28:15

That's a 4:15 improvement since November so I'm pretty happy with that. Now if you will excuse me, I am going to go lay down in the shower for a bit....
