Do you have what it takes...

One of the Crossfit themes is "Do you have what it takes". If they mean "Do you have what it takes to b*tch and moan about how hard your workout is?" then the answer is a resounding YES! Yesterday we did the benchmark workout "Eva".

5 rounds
800m run
30 Kettlebell swings [53#]
30 Pull-ups

The boss set a 45 min time cap that truthful I scoffed at (under my breath of course). I knew after round one that I was screwed with a capital SCREW. This was the worst 45 mins of my life. I hate to run anyway but the kettle bells seem to make it damn near impossible. I finished 4 rounds right at the 45 min mark and I swear I didn't have another rep in me. Most everyones hands looked like they had been in a fight with a cheese grater. 120-150 pull-ups will do that I guess.

My co-workers were looking at me funny most of the day as I slept under my desk but whatever, they didn't do sh*t before coming to work beside eating a donut and drinking some coffee. Mmmmmm donuts. I miss donuts. What was I talking about again?

Today we did a "light" workout.
50 Double unders
40 Abmat sit-ups
30 Med ball cleans
20 Box jumps
10 Handstand push-ups
20 Box jumps
30 Med ball cleans
40 Abmat sit-ups
50 Double unders
Time - 15:29

I should have been done with this at about the 12-13 min mark but my double unders suck of late. I switched to the RX rope and just don't have it down yet. What I do have down perfectly is whipping myself in the back of the legs until I have big welts and bruises. I look like I have been on the wrong side of a dominatrix or the right side depending on how freaky you are. Either way, I didn't like it very much and need to figure out how to do "missionary" double unders cause the way I am doing them now isn't cutting it. I could go to singles but then I'd be doing 3x the work and wouldn't be able to bitch about how bad they hurt. Where's the fun in that? Now if you will excuse me, I am going to go rub lotion on my legs and stand for the rest of the day.
