Here's a story about a girl named Crossfit "Cindy"

20 min AMRAP of:
5 Pull-ups
10 Push-ups
15 Air Squats
Total Rounds - 18 + 5 Push-ups

The mood in the box this morning was weird. For some reason AMRAPs with pull-ups in them always make the CrossFit collective nervous. I think it was the combination of the long warm up and the terrifying WOD ahead of them that did it. I was actually looking forward to this one. I had done "Cindy" a little over 6 months ago and was disappointed in my results so I was looking for a little payback. Also, I favor body weight exercises and I knew my back would not be an issue here.

I set a goal for myself of doing each round in a steady manner with unbroken pull-ups and air squats. I knew I would have to break up the push-ups eventually so I would just go until I couldn't. The first five minutes were miserable. I was moving at the right pace but this WOD transitions quickly and I was trying to find my rhythm. At about the eight to ten minute mark I settled in and just worked. My back was to the clock and truthfully I think that helped. I obsess about the clock more than a fat kid obsessing over cake. Mmmmm cake.....focus JFW. Anywho ~ I got in almost as many rounds in the back half as I did the front and rounded this thing out in over 18 rounds. That was a PR of over two rounds so I was very happy with that. I also achieved my goal of doing the pull-ups and squats unbroken but if I want to get over twenty I will need to work on my push-ups and have someone else count rounds for me. After all, I am from the south and twenty is a big number.....
