I always learn something new in CrossFit....

<----This is my new foam roller. What do you think? I don't know if it will make my back feel better but it's worth a shot.....

Today was my second day back in the box and it felt great. I wouldn't say I put up a life changing performance but I had a solid WOD and more importantly finished pain free. Today our WOD was:

3 rounds
10 Cleans [135/95]
20 Box jumps [24"/18]
Time: 8:56

I was very hesitant and careful in this WOD. I basically did Power cleans - Pause - Front squat and went very light [95#] on the weight to protect my back. I felt as good as you can in a CrossFit workout and finished in an ok time. I will be happy once I can get back to heavier weight but I felt good to be in there and had no pain. Afterward I spent some time with the box owner, Travis, working on mobility for my back. He showed me some mobility/stretching techniques that he uses. We worked on it for about 10 mins total and I swear it was harder than the WOD. This is one of the many things I love about our box. Our owners Regina & Travis take the time to help me when I ask and the advice is always spot on. My back has felt great today thanks to Travis's help and I'm grateful for everything I have learned in the last year and a half.

Now if you will excuse me, I have a date with my new foam roller.....
