CrossFit New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year CrossFitters!

It seems like only yesterday we were getting ready for the apocalypse. Now here we are about to ring in another year. I always get amused at this time of year because of the overwhelming number of people who make "New Year Resolutions" to get fit. Like most CrossFitters I hit the box five days a week (depending on the injury du jour) so I don't ever worry about my fitness when the new year rolls around. I do however have some CrossFit Resolutions that I need to make. Here is this years list...


  1. No napping on the gym floor immediately following a WOD...
  2. I will quit blaming my Deadlift farts on the guy or girl next to me...
  3. I will not ask any women "How's your snatch?" outside of the gym...
  4. Whenever I meet someone named Fran, I will not immediately shout "ASSHOLE!"
  5. I will no longer mix my recovery drink with Bailey's regardless of how yummy it is...
  6. My running will not be limited to escaping the grasp of a jealous boyfriend...
  7. I will not spend more time with bacon than I do with my kids...
  8. I will quit setting my box up behind the girl with the best ass during box jumps. The same goes for double unders & big boobs...
  9. I will not use the term "Feel the Burn" in reference to working out or peeing...
  10. I will quit referring to masturbating as an AMRAP of jerks...

This year I will be spending the New Year in the great state of Mississippi, enjoying the holiday with friends and family. I plan to hit up the relatively new local box there CrossFit Tupelo. I love visiting CrossFit boxes while I am out of town and I am excited to finally get to see one in my hometown. I'm hoping the WOD starts with "3-2-1 GO Y'ALL!"....
