Welp, I've made it a full two weeks into this Paleo thing and I feel great. Not only have I gotten my energy back but I think it may be a tad higher than before I started. I also feel like I am recovering quicker. I have woken up feeling fantastic the past two days with very little soreness. If that holds true it should be a big benefit to the WODs. Yesterdays WOD went well gives me hope that this diet is going to help my training and improve my performance.

I honestly don't know if this was a good "time" or not but I was very excited with my energy level throughout. I had more energy and strength than I did cardio. I blew thru the last round and a half faster than I thought I would be able to. When I was done however, I literally had to walk around outside for about 20 mins to keep from puking. I am proud to say that I am still "puke free" since 2011. Hopefully the new diet will help me be able to keep up a strong pace and improve my cardio. I need to because I really don't want to be know as a "puker". No one likes a puker....
As far as the energy goes, I have been trying to listen to my body and figure out what works best for me. This week I increased my vegetable intake as well as sweet potatoes. I'm a little too lazy to figure out the science of it but my body seems to be responding to it. Also I am experimenting with breakfast foods. Everyone I know that is trying paleo bitches about breakfast options. Here are my two current favorites.
The top pic is Sweet Potato Hash with Black Forest Bacon from Whole Foods. I basically cook the bacon and then cut the sweet potato in small pieces and cook it in the bacon grease. It is so good it will make you cry. Speaking of Whole Foods, I love that place but I have come to realize that the people that shop there are tree huggers because most of them have a stick up their ass. Snobby hippies are the worst. Rant over now....
The bottom pic is a prosciutto wrapped spinach and mushroom frittata muffin. Very easy to make and you can eat them on the go. I stole that one from "Nom Nom Paleo". Great website by the way if you haven't checked it out. I use her iPad app and it's a fantastic resource.
Now if you will excuse me, I need to go clean up my pigsty. Apparently eating like a caveman has caused me to start to live like one. Later...
